  • Phone (VoIP) service uses your Internet connection and may be affected by Internet speed, network congestion, power outages, equipment performance, or third-party carriers.
  • 911 / Emergency Calling
VoIP 911 works differently than traditional landline 911. Phone service, including 911, will not work during power or Internet outages. Calls to 911 may be routed to a third-party emergency call centre. You are responsible for keeping your service address accurate and up to date. Moving your phone equipment without notifying WaveDirect may result in incorrect emergency call routing.
  • Phone service requires continuous electrical power and a working Internet connection to function.
  • A Cisco ATA191 modem will be provided. WaveDirect-provided equipment remains the property of WaveDirect and must be returned within 30 days of service cancellation.
  • Canada–US plan includes unlimited long-distance calling to and from numbers within Canada and the continental United States with the following exceptions: Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands. International calling is not permitted at this time.
  • Telephone numbers may be ported to or from WaveDirect, subject to regulatory requirements, carrier rules, and technical feasibility.
  • Bundle Discounts:
If your Phone service is part of a bundled or promotional discount, cancelling any associated service will result in the removal of the bundle discount, and remaining services will be billed at regular rates.
